A Journey to Relaxation: Yoga + Sound Bath

Starting with a guided meditation, opening the Yin tissues through a short Yin Yoga flow to calm the mind and body before settling into Savasana. You will then be guided through a sacred journey of sound vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, drums and more. Honour this time to give to yourself.

About the event

The energetic body is a complex weave of energetic pathways (meridians) which allows our energy, called "qi" to flow through our body.

According to ancient Chinese philosophy, the body contains two opposing forces: yin and yang.

When these forces are in balance, the body is healthy. and our energy flows like rivers along these meridians, connecting with our organs. However, the flow of energy can sometimes be blocked, like the pipes connecting to your sink causing disruption in the flow of energy, leading to illness.

We also work the ancient yogic philosophy of the chakra model, which allows our 7 main energy centres to be in balance. Our energy centres govern our way of life, from our ability to feel safe, claiming our personal power to clarity of seeing things as they are.

As our belief system is influenced by past experiences, what we've been told or a skill not yet learnt, we can hold onto beliefs that are not always true or up to date. These beliefs can cause a misalignment in our energy that needs to be balanced.


Sinéad will lead you through an hour consisting of meditation, pranayama (breathwork), and Yang + Yin poses guiding your mind, body and soul into deep relaxation.

There will be a short Vinyasa Flow of gentle Yang postures connected with the breath before moving into the Yin Yoga part of the flow, where you will hold reclined or seated postures for at least 3 minutes using props such as bolsters and blocks to allow you to explore a deeper sensation within the connective tissues and meridians.

You will enter into a deep state of relaxation where you can let go of your worries, to develop a greater sense of awareness and contentment preparing your mind, body + soul to fully embrace the frequencies of the Sound Bath

Sound Bath

Darren of Congeries of Sound will lead you on a sound journey including Gongs, sound bowls, his voice + more to shift and balance energies in your mind, body and soul.

Everything on Earth is made up of sound vibrations, and each person is believed to have their own vibrational footprint. 

During a sound bath, the aim is to help relax your body and mind so that you can experience the sound waves washing over you.

Sound therapy is effective in not only achieving a state of relaxation, but it also has a way of moving through energy blockages in the body. The sound healing vibrations help to release stress, allowing the whole body to enter into a deep relaxation of harmony and joyfulness. Thus creating a space to offer resolutions to emotional issues.

Honour this time to give to yourself!  

No prior experience, effort or practice is required to participate.  However, please note sound therapy is not recommended for people with pacemakers or pregnant ladies in their 1st trimester. What to bring? 

There will be access to limited Yoga matts and bolsters. Please bring along extra mats for comfort. 

Most people lie down during the Sound Bath, whereas some choose to sit in a comfortable chair. 

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing  to be warm and comfortable. Energy work can get cold!
